history 200 years long, sustained throughout by uncommon valor,
uncommon sacrifices, uncommon men.
The title "Marine" is not easily gained.
Above and beyond its high standards, the Marine Corps requires of its
new members a rigorous and unforgettable twelve weeks of initial
training called "boot camp".
This album is a living document of those weeks, recorded at San Diego MCRD
and Camp Pendleton, California. In sound, picture and text, it relates the
challenges, effort, pride, humor, excitement and intensity of those three,
incredible months which transform young volunteers into basic Marines -
and often, boys into men.
